Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all delivery, courier and haulage services provided by RK Logistics Ltd("we", "us"). Placing a booking with us means accepting them.

1. Quotations and bookings

• A quotation is based on the information you give us: the collection and delivery addresses, the nature, weight and dimensions of the goods, access at both ends, and any timing requirement.
• Quotations are valid for 7 days unless we say otherwise, and are not a contract until we confirm the booking.
• If the actual consignment differs materially from what was described — heavier, larger, more items, or access that needs a different vehicle — we will tell you before proceeding and requote. You may cancel at that point without charge, other than any wasted journey already made.

2. Collection and delivery

• Collection and delivery windows are given in good faith and we work hard to meet them, but they are estimates. We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, vehicle breakdown or anything else outside our reasonable control.
• Where a timed delivery has been expressly agreed and charged for, and we miss it through our own fault, the timed element of the charge will be refunded.
• Someone must be present to release and to receive the goods. If nobody is available within a reasonable waiting period, a waiting or re-delivery charge may apply — we will tell you before it is incurred.

3. The goods

• You confirm that you own the goods, or have the owner's authority to send them, and that they are packaged well enough to withstand normal handling and transit.
• We do not carry: hazardous or dangerous goods, livestock or live plants, illegal items, cash, bullion, or anything our insurers exclude. Tell us before booking if you are unsure.
• High-value items must be declared when booking so that cover can be confirmed. Undeclared value is carried at your risk.

4. Liability and insurance

• We carry goods in transit insurance. Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, goods are carried subject to the Road Haulage Association Conditions of Carriage, under which liability is limited by weight.
• Claims for loss or damage must be notified in writing within 7 days of delivery, or of the date delivery should have taken place.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, contracts or business, however caused.
• Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

5. Charges and payment

• The agreed price covers the work described in the quotation.
• Additional charges apply only where the job changes — extra drops, waiting time beyond the agreed allowance, failed delivery, or a return journey — and we will tell you before they are incurred wherever it is practical to do so.
• Account customers are invoiced monthly, payable within 30 days unless agreed otherwise. Other work is payable on completion.
• Late payment may attract interest and recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

6. Cancellation

• Cancel before a vehicle is dispatched and there is no charge.
• Cancel after dispatch and a charge may apply to cover the journey already made. We will tell you what it is before invoicing.
• Consumers have the statutory cancellation rights given by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 where those apply. Asking us to start work within the cancellation period may reduce them.

7. Data protection

We handle personal information as described in ourprivacy policy.

8. This website

• Content on this site is provided for general information. Service descriptions are not offers capable of acceptance; a contract arises only when we confirm a booking.
• The site's text, design and graphics belong to us and may not be reproduced without permission.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
